What kind of Fishing Bait to use?

I’am going fishing tomorrow around 3am and last time I went fishing I bought squid, shrimp and nightcrawlers from the tackle shop and we didnt catch chit and we were fishing for like 15 hours straight, if I use like raw chicken or meat, fish from the store would that work?, any tips on making your own bait at home that works would be appreciated

   I agree with the others here… where are you fishing , what fish do you hope to catch…with the bait mentioned you could be cat-fishing in fresh water or fishing in brackish water.

   Also you should research the fishing reports for the areas you plan on fishing if you aren’t familiar with them then you might think about researching what the fish that are biting are eating.
